Purpose

An Information Asset Register lists all the department’s information assets, it includes details of ownership, risks and value to the department.

How to meet this standard

What the Information Asset Owner (IAO) / Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) must do

  • Ensure an Information Asset Register entry for all Information Assets is compiled and maintained.
  • Assign Information Asset Owners (IAO), Information Asset Managers (IAMs) and Technical Point of Contact (TPoCs) to each information asset.
  • Ensure the half-yearly risk review is completed.

Declaring conformance with this standard

Conformance with the standard must be recorded every 6 months.
